Catholics, what is the afterlife status of Father John Geoghan?

First, this would entirely depend on Jesus Christ, His Mercy and Grace.

Hypothetically,  Did Father John Geoghan ask for forgiveness for his sins, did he have the capacity to know and stop his evil actions, did he receive forgiveness, reconciliation, and penance for his personal sinfulness?

h**l = Denial, unforgiveness, self pride.

Purgatory = Forgiveness but consequential justices for sinful actions

Heaven = Forgiveness, purity of soul upon entering Heaven with Jesus Christ.

You mean what is the afterlife staus of a member of the Church who is a sinner?  That is something no-one on earth can know. It is between the sinner and God.
