Are these three different plants or just different names for the same thing? Can you explain the differences?

Thanks.

  1. Cat grass is not the same thing as the other two: it's a type of grass meant to help cats with digestive problems and has no psychoactive properties.

Catnip and catmint are names for plants that are members of the Nepeta genus, especially Nepeta cataria, or common catnip/catmint. The name appears to differ from place to place - in the US "catnip" is more common while in other countries "catmint" is more common.

  2. Cat grass is actually a grass; cat mint is called nepeta fanssenii; catnip is nepeta cataria

Cat grass gives digestive aid and catnip & catmint cause some cats to get lively-kind of like trippin'

  3. catnip is a herbal a hairball remover  has narrow blades of green ,cat grass looks like grass with wider blades & with stripes, cat mint is a smaller plant with round leaves that grow in a shaded area usually under trees, all are edible for the feline population and can be cultivated indoors during the winter months for prime health of your cats.
