  1. maby one of those sonic pest controlers

  2. I was greeted by the sight of a dead fox on my patio a few weeks ago as i came down in the morning, seems my dog ruby had caught it, snapped its neck and left it to make sure it didnt go anywhere. Never had a problem since!! Now everyone wants 2 borrow her for a couple of days... :D

  3. a gun

  4. The noise is probably cat mating rather than foxes and cats fighting. Foxes tend to ignore cats and a cat could quite easily outrun a fox.

You could buy a untrasonic sound device that can't be heard by humans but will move animals away from your building.

  5. Go to Google and type in "Foxwatch" You will find that there are deterents available, like this. Following the largest study of its kind ever undertaken in the UK, FOXWatch is now the only fox deterrent, scientifically tested and recommended

The sensor detects movement up to 12 metres (40ft) away and emits a high pitched sound (silent to humans) in a wide 100 degree arc, which is pitched specifically at a fox's hearing frequency. The ultrasonic is thought to be effective at 18m (60ft). This means that the unit won't be activated until the fox is within 30ft, but once the fox turns and exits, it will still hear the noise up to 60ft away. Of course, as with all methods involving animal behaviour, we can’t guarantee effectiveness in every situation, however, our own experience and the feedback we get from customers suggests that this device is effective in almost all situations. If you need more advice on how to get the best out of the product, don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Unit height 14.5cm. Uses one 9 volt battery (optional) or a mains adaptor (available separately). The mains adaptor has 9m of cable, with an additional 10m also available. The cable is thin bell wire-type, meaning it can often be plugged indoors and slipped below some doors or windows. Because it's at low voltage, the cable is fine and no-risk for outdoors. The mains adaptor is the plug type (like most mobile phone adaptors, the adaptor is the plug), so this may make it impossible to fit into some outdoor sockets. Consider an outdoor electrical box.

Comes with a positioning stake, or can be attached to a nail in a fence.

  6. spread grease there so that they will be hugging each other instead of fighting

PS; a little diesel might help

  7. I would say bucket of water as well.

  8. This sounds very odd.Have you actually seen foxes and cats fighting or are you hearing a lot of animal noises and assuming this is the cause because you have both foxes and cats in your area?

Foxes seldom attack adult cats.More often the 2 species avoid each other as much as possible. It seems more likely your hearing cats fight over territory or cats mating or maybe fox cubs playing (they are REALLY noisy and can sound like a loud cat fight.)

  9. bucket of cold water may help

  10. The council's pest control will shoot the foxes for you if you ask them.

  11. Get a dog. Both cats and foxes will stay well away from a dog.

  12. Sonic pest controller about £20 cheaper on ebay.

or get you husband to pee around the garden leaving his scent to deter the foxes, please do not kill them
