Cattery Insurance?

I want to open a cattery out of my home and eventually move it out to the family farm. Home owner's insurance won't cover this exposure. What company will insure a start up cattery run from my home? I HAVE to have it, but no one will tell me where to GET it!

Who is telling you you have to have insurance for your Cattery?  See, your stock isn't worth any where near as much as you can sell it for - all those cute expensive kittens are hard to give away, six months later.

So, define exactly what TYPE of insurance you want (general liability?  property?   livestock?) then go to your local, independent agent, and they'll shop it out.

Be prepared to pay BIG BUCKS, though.
