Cattle Shed to Sand School?!?

I have a enclosed cattle sheds and was wondering if I could change it to a manege (sand-school), It has concrete floor I was also wondering how much about it would cost and how hard it would be?

  1. Im not sure on the price, but you would need to fully line the shed with something that would not let the sand through. You would then need quite a few inches of a good grade sand (we have 6 inches) and then a rubber surface on top if you can afford this. The sand at the bottom will compact and then it wouldnt be so deep. You dont need drains etc as it is indoors.... Good luck ( i dont know if you would need planning permission becuase we did)

Well right off the bat you're going to have to tear out the cement...  (I had a friend who had an old dairy barn that I loved and wished he'd have done that with it.).  Then haul in DG, and sand.  It would probably be pretty costly to hire a back hoe to break it all up if it could fit in the sheds.
