Calley flower ear is not an immediate health risk. It is long term a problem. It can be a source of infection and can release blood clots into your system. It should be treated by a medical doctor. Once an ear has been subjected to that much abuse it can be more likely to happen again, since the blood vessels in the ear have been damaged.

Treatment can include draining the blood from the ear and palliative antibiotics.

Cauli ear can get infected. CAN. But it's generally harmless. You can/should get it drained, but it will still look different after drainage. Don't worry about it, unless you want to worry about it.

Most women don't even notice. Most people don't notice because they don't know what cauli-ear is.

It harms your chances of getting chicks when your ear looks like a space alien, that much I know. Drew (poster below) must be going to the Helen Keller school to meet chicks if they 'dig cauliflower ear'. I know that guy who fought that bum Kimbo Slice had the worst looking ear I've ever seen. How anyone could find that hideous looking thing attractive is beyond me.
