Question:

Cause of death - I can't read the certificate!?

I thought I'd post this in the hope that someone here has had the same problem, and knows the answer.

I'm struggling to read the cause of death on this certificate, but it's such a bad copy. Please follow the link to see the picture. It's only the first two words I'm interested in.

I have so far guessed at "Talis Mestuterica", but I don't think that's right.

BACKGROUND INFO:

The girl was 10yrs old, and died in Plumstead, London in 1899. I think the cause of death is likely to be related to bad living conditions in the city, but it's just a guess.

I ordered the certificate specifically to find out why she died, and I can't read it! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
