  1. a high platelet count could be caused by inflammation which if your doc suspects will do blood work.

  2. These ranges are there for a reason. Lower than that means low. Higher means high.

Was your IgM for a specific disease? Or was it just IgM? There is a list of causes for IgM for some infection being high. But just IgM has a much shorter list.

Ig is antibody. IgM is a type of antibody. This gets raised or gets shown in the blood when the person has been exposed to some infection or vaccine. This will be for that specific virus/bacteria. That's why I asked if you have it for a specific infection/disease. But since antibodies/Ig are basically just proteins being formed by some particular cells in the blood, disorders of that cell, known as plasma cells, will give a rise in the Ig level in the blood. There are diseases of plasma cells that cause a raise in IgM levels in blood.

Platelets are generally considered a class of blood cells. They are related to bleeding, and work as stoppers of bleeding. Their rise shows a number of reasons, such as, well, bleeding.

Then lymphocytes are a type of white blood cells.

These all sum up to tell a person of medicine that you go to your doctor, have yourself fully examined, get all the tests that s/he tells you to get done, and then ask him/her to fully explain to you what is the reason behind all this.

Take my advice, and take it seriously: Get this job done quickly.

    Good luck!
