Veterans Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman adopted a cautious approach as they looked to build India's first innings score on Day 2 of the first Test against New Zealand, at the Sardar Patel stadium, in Motera, Ahmedabad, on Friday. India reached 373 for three in 110 overs, with Tendulkar unbeaten on 33 from 109 balls and VVS Laxman on 31 from 87 balls as just 44 runs were scored from 20 overs in the morning session. Master batsman Sachin Tendulkar would be hoping to provide the extra sparks on Diwali by scoring a century and scaling the magical milestone of 50 .
