Cavalryman and Lost In The Moment to hawk positions in the Jockey Club Rose Bowl (Listed Race)
The field of the Class 1 Jockey Club Rose Bowl (Listed Race) is highlighted by the two Godolphin owned entries, Lost In The Moment and Cavalryman. Eleven more three-year-old and above entries will be there for contesting over the two mile race track at Newmarket on Thursday, 27th September. The first one across the wire will get to bag the £18,714 prize money.
The six-year-old bay horse, Cavalryman, had to come at terms with defeat after striking a back-to-back.
He has been active five times during the current season, and has raced at three different racing destinations.
The Saeed Bin Suroor trained won the Stowe Family Law LLP Grand Cup (Listed Race) on 26th May, 2012 at York race course over a mile and six furlongs.
Halling’s bay horse did not speed up right after racing out of the second trap, but had got quite a bit ground covered up by the time the final three furlongs were to be raced.
Over throwing the challenge in the approaching furlongs, and then leading temporarily over another furlong had him defeating Calico Cat by 2 lengths.
The favourite entry of the race, Gulf Of Naples, ended third in the field of five.
The six-year-old out of, Silversword, maintained the identical composure in the Coral Marathon (Registered As The Esher Stakes) (Listed Race) on 7th July, 2012 at Sandown over two miles and half a furlong.
The favourite entry once again stored the energy reserve for later, and held up in the sixth position. Just when the jockey, Frankie Dettori, thought that it was the time to burst into speed, the duo made considerable progress three furlongs out and then he took charge of the field, taking confident strides and defeated Aaim To Prosper by 4 ½ lengths.
Coming at terms with the third position was, Chiberta King.
The 3 to 1 shot for the race today has drawn the ninth stall out which he will break while riding with jockey, Frankie Dettori.
He will need to take down the stable mate, Lost In The Moment, who is backed by 7 to 2 odds, and will race with the riding icon, Silvestre De Sousa.
