  1. lived in caves

    slept on dirt or leaves

probably one family or 1 extended family per cave

  2. Cro-Magnon, European cavepersons, who were nomadic Hunter/Gatherers, lived in groups of 30-200, with an Alpha Male & Female, and slept in caves, while keeping the fires burning, to protect them from wild animals, such as cave bears...

  3. I keep seeing people on this site saying not to call them cave men and yet, they never say what a person is suppose to call them. Experts don't like using the word "Cro-Magnon" because this refers to Europe and makes these people seem different from others at the same time, which they weren't. As others have said, these people were hunters/gathers and moved around, following animals that they hunted.

Caves were used when they could be found but they are few. Some caves were used continuously for over 100,000 years. Mostly, people lived in tents and huts. Even in caves, people used tents as, at least, one tent has been found. Most that has been found has been in caves because experts know to look there and caves can preserve items since it is out of the weather. Things such as carved bone items have been found, yet much of what they used was made out of wood and that does not preserve. The most wondrous is cave paintings which some are quite beautiful and show people of intelligence. Some of these painting are in remote areas of the caves and suggest that they were made, not for decoration, but as, maybe, religious reasons. Some of the these painting are of hand prints, which gives a feeling of  being not so far away from the ones who made them.  Pulling the information from another question- Early Modern Humans is a reasonable name. Thanks.

  4. Is this a Joke...They lived in fu*king caves. They lived in groups, they slept on animal pelts, and you need to learn to use google.

  5. "Caveman" is incorrect and brings to mind bad movies and worse insurance commercials.

One rockshelter in France (not a cave but there was a rock overhang) was made by leaning logs at an angle, covering them with animal skins held down by rocks. Mattresses were made from dried seaweed and furs covered them. Add a fire and it would seem quite comfortable.

Most short term housing were wigwams and wikiups. Make a wood frame, toss hides, bark or reeds over the frame and your done. What was nice about these were you could return to them and find the frame still there.

No doubt tents shaped like tipis existed as well as lean-tos.

Remember these people were nomadic and were used to being out in the weather. They had no idea of central heating and a tight roof

  6. 500000 little people, slept on cow bones and had peoples skin on the walls 4 decoration stay awake in class hung eye balls in the door way
