The most respected entry for the race today is the 7 to 1 representative of trainer, Mick Channon, Cay Verde. The two-year-old bay colt was successful in his fourth try at the graded level. He finished sixth during the first attempt, and then ended at a

In companionship with jockey, Martin Harley, the two-year-old took off from the sixth gate in the field that was invaded by five contenders. Taking advantage of the wide end of the track, the bay colt covered ground and ranked third striving to notch up
the position to lead two furlongs out. Steering through the track distance tactfully, the two-year-old governed the track well 1 ½ furlongs before the wire.

The Lady Whent bred retains his riding partner for the race today, and the duo will take down the competition racing out from the first gate.

All those who are racing their debut at the graded level have proved their potential of improving and being well capable of taking down the competition put forth by the more experienced.
Marco Botti’s 3 to 1 entry, Moohaajim, is being feared after his fifth position in the Group 1 Darley Prix Morny (2YO Colts & Fillies) on 19th August, 2012 at Deauville over six furlongs.
