The twenty seven year old went on to join the club from Malaga in the summers, and despite this being his first season with the team, he has become one of the most important players at the club.
He has already gone on to score two goals for the team, while picking up two assists along the way. Having played only nine games for the team, those are some highly impressive statistics.
When talking about just how he felt at the club, the midfielder is reported to have said: “I feel important at Arsenal and I want to keep developing. The way Arsenal play and the responsibility they have given me is something I have always sought out.”
He also feels that joining Arsenal was a definite step forward in his career, while highlighting that it could help boost his international career as well.
"I think it's a step forward in my career and I hope to improve a great deal in the future."
