Cd burning help..?

help me, i'm trying to burn my video mpeg file to either a dvd-r or dvd-rw disc, to play on my dvd player. however, the dvd player doesn't recognize it, but my computer does. so what's up, any help?

your dvd player isn't compatible with the burned format. you need to buy one that will read the format you're burning with. a lot of newer dvd players will support different formats (and aren't that expensive)
