Question:

Cd formatting?

I'm trying to put a 697 mb movie onto a 700 mb cd-rw. I've done it before, but now every time I try to open the cd's folder or drag the movie to the folder it asks me to format the cd. I have also formatted a cd and afterwards, it has a lot less space. I just forgot how to just simply put stuff on a cd without formatting it. How do I do this? My computer has vista and the cd is a memorex.

  1. Get something like nero and then you can burn.

  2. copy or drag and drop files onto cd drive. right click on drive and write files to disc.

  3. so far as a know CD-RW s can hold only 650MB, if you want to put more data ( you said your movie is 697MB)  your best bet is to use CD-R which can hold up to 700MB. and does not need to  format. good luck.
