Hey, Just passed my driving tesT! hehe. my mum is going to give me her ford fiesta 1.25 Ghia 96 i think, (P reg), and it has no cd player.. I have looked at other cd/mp3 players to fit in, but they are all the normal size, which these fiesta ones are those big ones , (you'll know if you have one)... i'm just thinking, do i need to use the cd exhange device, or will it just fit in.. that'll leave me with a gap right?.. hmm

Thanks!

  1. Why not just fit a Ford CD player there are no wires to join as it will just plug straight in You can pick one up on ebay for about £70 Save a lot of hassle. Congrats on passing your test too.

  2. well done on passing your test....halfords sell an adapter plate that fits the fiestas dash so a std sized cd player will fit.

  3. You can get a snap in  adapter plate for £6-£8 that will fill your large slot and take a standard size radio/cd. These are after market - try Halfords or Wilco.  Ford may well do an adapter plate themselves as some makers do, suppose that would be a little more expensive. Also, go onto ebay/cars/Ford/radio adapter and see what comes up.

  4. As above adaptor plates are available from any decent car accessory shop or Halfords and while you're there get a wiring adaptor too then its an easy job to plug it all in and away you go.

    Good luck!
