  1. a CD-R is a burnable cd that you can only put data on once

    a CD-RW is a burnable CD player tha you can add data to it more than once.  

    so you can put files one day on a CD-RW and put more files on again the following day when on a CD-R you can only do it once


  2. CD-R is only to record on one.  CD-RW, you can record then record over what you already had recorded like an old tape or VHS tape.

  3. with a CD-rw you can put info on there and then erase it and put some more info on there later.  With a CD-R the info you put on there will stay forever, they are also better for making a music CD.
