The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 goalkeeper has admitted that
Manchester United have done enough to win the title this season
Manchester United are currently 15 points ahead of their city rivals, Manchester City, with the latter still having one game in hand. The Red Devils downed Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Giggs-c31985 found
the net for the away side.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837 believes that United have a considerable lead over the defending champions and there is no chance that they will falter from here. He admitted that the former champions will have to collapse in order to lose the title from here which is highly
unlikely.
The goalkeeper stated that City players do not have the experience to handle the pressure of defending the title. He added that many players are feeling the pressure and their performances have not been up to the mark.
“It would need a meltdown from Manchester United for them not to win the league, it depends on them. It is a new situation for Manchester City, trying to defend the title. There are a lot of players in their squad who have never faced the situation,” he
was quoted as saying in an interview.
The shot stopper insisted that his side does not have a chance to win the title, but there is a great chance that they can finish on the second spot as they face Manchester City this weekend. Both sides are separated by four points and the Blues can gun
for a second-place finish at the end of the season.
“It is more than possible for us, we just need to have a good run of results. If we win those games, obviously we will have a chance of second, but to win the league we are maybe too far away,” the Chelsea goalkeeper concluded.
Chelsea are also in danger of being caught up by Tottenham Hotspur, who are in fourth place and only one point behind the European champions. If Chelsea lose this weekend and Tottenham win, the Blues will fall to fourth place.
