Chelsea’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837 has admitted that the Blues need to try and strike a balance between young and experienced players.
The keeper feels that the London club can only move forward, if they are to strike a balance between young and experienced layer because otherwise the team won’t be able to build on last season’s success.
Despite not doing too well in the league, the team went on to lift the European Champions League trophy last season for the first time.
Nonetheless, Cech strongly feels the team needs to improve or it could all go downhill from here.
"It is important for a team to have new players, young players and experienced players.”
"I hope we find the right balance to go through the season and have success."
He then went on to talk about Thibaut Courtois, who is on loan to Atletico Madrid. The Czech international feels that the youngster has a future at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, but he is going to have to fight for his spot in the team.
"In big clubs they are always buying top players for every position, it is up to you to keep your place," he noted.
"When the moment comes it will come, but I believe I have a lot to offer and I will try and keep my place for another four years.”
"When I joined I tried to gain my place in the starting XI, to play as much as possible and win trophies, but I was not thinking I could be at Chelsea for 12 years.”
"The club is a big part of my life and I am very happy there."
For the time being, Cech is not sure what is going to happen with Chelsea in the coming season. The keeper feels that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo might just be able to help the team build on last season’s success and help them push forward.
Even though the keeper has made these claims, Di Matteo is going to have to push the team in the coming season to improve on their league standings from last season. This is considering the fact that the team finished sixth, despite winning the Champions
League trophy.
