Chelsea’s shot stopper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837 has gone on to warn his team mates that they need to get on with playing football like they normally would, or they could be the next one to be axed from the club.
The London based club recently went on to part ways with their manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo, after a series of poor results.
In order to replace the manager, the team went on to bring in Rafa Benitez, whose appointment at the club was not taken to very well by the team’s fans.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 manager was given a very hostile welcome by the Blues fans in his first game in charge of the club, and some have claimed that the players at the club have also failed to warm up to the manager.
Cech feels that the players need to avoid any off the politics that the fans are trying to create, since their http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 is to play to the best of their ability, irrelevant of who the manager is.
When talking about the change in management at the club and his team mates, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Czech-Republic-c2882 international is reported to have said: "For all of [the players], it's the same; you get on with it or you're out"
"So it's up to you how you react. It's as simple as that.”
"You are here to play - to do as the manager and the club wants you to do. If you don't like it, then you can leave.”
"Getting to know another new manager and his methods is not a problem. If you stay sad, you will end up on the bench even more disappointed."
It seems like Cech is currently trying to bridge the gap between the players, the fans and the manager. Should he be able to do so successfully, then the team might be able to progress from here on.
In his first game as the team’s new manager, Benitez went on to draw with Manchester City, which by all means is a decent result for any manager.
It is now a wait to see just what happens at the Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
