Cecilia Cho refuses to defend the Women's Interprovincial Golf Tournament
The Women's Interprovincial Golf Tournament will be held in Wellington from the 30th of November and will be commencing without its defending champion. The opening round of the tournament, due to be held in Wellington, will be initiating without
its shielding backer Cecilia Cho.
According to reports, the amateur victor is gradually moving up her career ladder with several wins in her hand. Cho is reported to fly back from China after which she added one more title to her emergent global calling.
As far as the 16-year-old's career record is concerned, her latest overall honour is from the annual Aaron Baddeley Junior International that ended yesterday on 28th of November. Recently turned 16 golfer played a highly competitive play with
Annie Choi after 72 holes. The event witnessed the amateur player triumph over Choi at a playoff at the 2nd hole. Cho was tied with her Korean competitor who is a winner of the 15-year division.
The 16-year division was however won by the women's interprovincial defender where the female golfer was seen playing a rather consistent match. Her highest score was carded at the second round of the four round match with a 75 that lowered only one stroke
in the round subsequently. So with Cho carding a 74 in the third round, the final round ended with a good note of 71. The first round of the division was also a consistent display by the female golfer where she managed to card a 73 on the Lion Lake course.
The honoured chased Choi as she entered the final round of the event and had a difference of 3 strokes. The 71 scored by the Aucklander levelled the scores and pushed her upwards to stand at the apex.
Cho, right now, has the Hawke's Bay-Poverty Bay in the picture. The 16-year-old will be flying to New Zealand, Wellington where her team would be entering the third round on Wednesday against the earlier stated team. The brawl would be carried out at the
Miramar Golf Club and would be forcing the Interprovincial Tournament line-up to replace her with Emily Eng.
As far as the current event is considered, Cho will not be appearing at the tournament which would see off the number one in with the reserve, Eng for the punch-up with Scotland.
The Auckland will be defending a provincial victory 20th in number in the current week. The previous victory was against North Harbour in 2009 which was snatched after an archetypal sudden death playoff.
