Cedar point top thrill dragster...?

Question

ok so i bet my bff kayla 20$ that i would ride the dragster at cedar point... i thoguht it was gonna be easy because i <3 roller coasters but then i went on cedarpoint.com and i was looking at the pictures and it suddenly became reallly scary... have you ever ridden the dragster???? && does anyone have any tips to make me less freaked out && also is it really scary??! kk thanks soo much to everyone who answers :D

Try to ride TTD last. Since you&#039;re going to Cedar Point ride Maverick and Wicked Twister first. Since they both launch it would probably help you relax a bit, since you&#039;ll have an idea about what it feels like. Try to laugh before the launch, cause laughing reduces stress. (:

ya, the only scary part is the launch. so many people travel from around the world just to go on that and u r lucky if u can drive there

it is unlike any other other coaster, the only scary part, (more like nervewrecking) is waiting for the  launch, there are two metal things that are electro magnetic brakes, those will go down. that means the the strip that under the dragster is ready to go, then in a few seconds you will start launching.

for me i was nervous the launch is flat out the best part, then when u go down into that spiral itll be back down going pretty fast, then itll be braking once you get to the brakes. you might be feel speechless as if you had the ride of your life, and trust me youll want to ride it again. other than Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster is unlike every single roller coaster uve ever ridden.

The only scary part is waiting to take off.  The rest goes by so fast you don&#039;t even have time to think about it.  Have fun, you&#039;ll be glad you did it!

It is an amazing ride, only the launch is scary, ive been on it a few times and try to go every year!  Make a deal with yourself to not get out of line, and focus on something while waiting (it could be hard to focus though, the launch is quite loud).  I was scared to death the first time, but now i love it!  You Will Be Fine!  :)

ITS VERY FUN!

DONT BE SCARED, JUST TAKE A DEEP BREATH....THE RIDE ONLY LAST 7 SECONDS, SO IF YOU ARE REALLY SCARED JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES!  THERE IS A VIDEO ON CEDARPOINT.COM TO WATCH THE RIDE AS IF YOU WERE RIDING IT, MAYBE IT WILL PREPARE YOU.

Top Thrill Dragster is the funnest roller coaster I&#039;ve ever ridden. The launch is really daunting at first but it&#039;s pretty much part of the experience.

I love rides and coasters too, but I was always terrified of the Drop Tower here at Kings Island. It drops you 267 feet in 3 seconds with no warning.

DO NOT let anyone pressure you to go on TTD. It might help to watch what the coaster does before you ride it. Watch this YouTube video:

While you are waiting in line, watch people&#039;s faces as the ride ends. 99% of people are SMILING. The launch is whoa, but the ride is FUN, FUN, FUN.

When you are on the ride, here&#039;s what to look for to know when it will launch:

First the magnets make a loud hiss noise and go down on the track, then the train will move slightly backward. Watch the lights.. when you see three yellow lights go down, HOLD ON AND KEEP YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE HEADREST because you will launch as soon as the lights hit the bottom of the sign. I am not joking. If you do not put your head against the headrest, you risk whiplash. It launches from 0-120 mph in 4 seconds.

It took me 45 minutes of watching Drop Tower before I was able to get on, but boy was it worth the wait in line. Now it&#039;s my favorite ride at Kings Island.

You never know. You may end up loving it. If you don&#039;t, at least you know you tried, and you got 20 bucks in the process!

the 1st time i rode it i was all scared but once its over you&#039;ll be like i wanna do that again!

I was TERRIFIED the first time I rode this ride...I had just ridden Millennium Force, and it had kind of freaked me out b/c the first hill was so big and it really scared me! But I was sooo excited when I actually rode Dragster...it only lasts 13 seconds so you honestly don&#039;t really even have time to be scared (except when you&#039;re waiting!) It&#039;s the most amazing feeling in the world when your car shoots out so fast! Honestly, I&#039;m a big wimp and I didn&#039;t think it was scary at all :-P...Millennium force is 10 times scarier, so if you&#039;ve ever ridden that then you should be perfectly fine on Dragster. Just try to sit down, take a deep breath, and relax. Make sure you keep your head back against the head rest so you don&#039;t hurt your neck though before it shoots off. The worst part is waiting...so try not to think about it and freak yourself out too much! Oh...and make sure you sit in the front row! It&#039;s AMAZING on the way down:-) The ride will be over so fast you&#039;ll want to get in line right away to ride it again! Best ride ever...

120mph in about 2 seconds then up and over 400 feet in the air..it only last maybe 30 seconds...its a thrill!!
