Ceili Kewell to crush the competition in the Grade A1 480 metres race at Perry Barr
The 7 to 2 entry, Ceili Kewell is just 480 metres away from the £97 prize money of the Grade A1 480 metres flat race at Perry Barr on Tuesday, 10th July. Competing against the two-year-old are Proud Dodge, Cragg Merc, Verde Good Boy, Cheeky Captain
and Movealong Joker.
Besides finishing sixth in the career debut, Loyal Honcho’s two-year-old black son lined up the next four starts as wins. This however became possible after a 480 metres drill at Perry Barr on 9th June, 2012. Ceili Kewell accomplished the track
distance in 29.87 seconds.
The first success of the Holland trained was on 16th June at Perry Barr over 480 metres. He set into an early pace, went wide and then did not take long to lead thusly, timing the track distance in 29.53 seconds. He set Ballymac Exit as the runner-up
by a length’s margin.
23rd June saw the two-year-old out of b***h, Ceili Zoe, win a 480 metres race at Perry Barr after clocking the track distance in 29.17 seconds. He did not really give any of the other contestants a chance to maneuvour over the track as he always
led after breaking from the fifth stall. As was the case in his previous success, Ceili Kewell broke into an early pace and went wide.
His chance of striking a hat trick came forth in the form of a Grade A2 480 metres flat on 29th June at Perry Barr. The two-year-old did not let go off the pace and led for the major part of the race, and had the distance settled in 28.93 seconds.
Finishing the race after leaping through the half length’s distance was, Bourneville Gold, who made it to the other end of the track in 28.97 seconds. Filling up the third slot was, Coolemount Gale.
Born on 16th May, 2010, the two-year-old won for a fourth time in a row in the Grade A1 Oggy’s Soggy Dog Stag Night Stakes on 7th July at Perry Barr over 480 metres. Ceili Kewell did not deviate from his signature style of setting into
an early pace and then leading which got him the race in 28.82 seconds.
He defeated Ethans Pick, by half a length.
His consistency eludes from the set of wins on his profile, and that very trait will make him to be the first one through the wire tonight.
