Ceiling Kitty geared up for fourth straight success after two-month rest
A visit to Ceiling Kitty’s profile will be really hilarious. Three victories off five starts is a superb streak indeed. Since winning the Queen Mary Stakes (Group 2) (Fillies) of the Royal Ascot festival, the Tom Dascombe trained bay filly has been out of action to build up on the momentum she gained from the tremendous triumph.
Today, the two-year-old novice runner is going to participate in the high-profile contest of Polypipe Flying Childers Stakes (Group 2) with a view to add fourth straight success to her career that began in March 2012.
As the race is set to go down on the 5-furlong good course of Doncaster, Ceiling Kitty seems to be all ready to compete against eight strong rivals. On winning, she will bring home a handsome amount of £39,697.
The talented daughter of Red Clubs out of Baldovina debuted with a runner-up rank from Kempton racecourse. After a below-par performance, she elegantly broke her maiden with the ace title of the Bet On Your Mobile At Blue Square E B F Maiden Stakes, held at Kempton on May 7.
She won that race by beating the hot favourite candidate Citius. The fantastic filly moved on to seal top position in the Langleys Solicitors LLP E B F Marygate Fillies' Stakes (Listed) that went down at York on May 18.
The A. Black bred maverick sprinter impressed all and established herself as an invincible runner by making a big mark at Ascot on June 20. Winning the 27-runner event without the favourite tag was really a mega achievement.
Viewing these stats, one thing is clear that Ceiling Kitty possesses immense talent and high fighting spirit. Thus, it will be pretty hard for her opponents to outplay her in today’s marathon.
The only one who can just think of doing this is Girl At The Sands. The James Given trained grey filly is on the verge of a hat-trick at the moment. She marvellously bagged two classic victories during the last month after debuting in July. So we can expect a convincing performance from her.
Let us be ready to enjoy the impassioned action. Good luck to all the runners.
