Ceiling Kitty rated favourite for Andy Taylor Snr Is 70 Today Maiden Auction Stakes (Div I)
Ceiling Kitty has won the best odds for the Andy Taylor Snr Is 70 Today Maiden Auction Stakes (Div I) at Beverley in England on Wednesday, April 18, 2012. The winner of the class-5 event will bag a cash prize of £2,296.
A total of 10 runners will be seen in action in the 5 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 13:40 GMT, and their names are as follows: Ceiling Kitty, Mayfield Girl, Kryena´s Rose, Ingleby Royale, Hillbilly Boy, Twilight Pearl, Secret Destination,
Special Report, Dream Vale and Moss The Boss.
Earlier, 14 entries had been confirmed for the event, but Midnight Dream, Proventi, Madam Mojito and Starbotton have been ruled out due to injury.
At the moment, it seems that it will be an easy task for Ceiling Kitty to win the race, as she is in terrific shape. Although she does not have much experience at this level, she has participated in one race until now and managed to perform well in it.
The two-year-old filly ended up runner up in her only race, thus she will be in great rhythm. However, the punters might be a touch hesitant over placing bets in her favour, as she disappointed them last time around.
The Tom Dascombe’s trainee was rated favourite in her maiden outing, but she failed to challenge the race winner in the end, finishing second by a comfortable margin. She will need a much improved run today in order to take the top spot.
Ceiling Kitty will be partnered by Richard Kingscote, who is a seasoned runner and has done well at this level. His strike rate is also quite good, thus it will be difficult to catch him at Beverley today.
On the other hand, Mayfield Girl will also be the one to watch out for in the race. She can certainly surprise one and all with her speed, as she did in her only race at Doncaster. Despite not being the favourite to win, she challenged the top two and ended
up third by just a neck distance.
Other then the top two favourites, Ingleby Royale and Hillbilly Boy might also manage to make an impression at Beverley.
