Celebration rally for the Milwaukee Brewers planned on Thursday – MLB News
The Milwaukee Brewers, which have got the first division crown in more than two decades, will have a celebration rally on Thursday, September 29. It is scheduled to be held on Milwaukee’s lakefront Summerfest grounds.
Previously when the Milwaukee Brewers won the National League Wild Card in the 2008, some 14,000 fans had attended the similar celebration.
There is already buoyant mood and disposition among the team staff. "It's been an amazing two and a half months. We're working so hard, battling day in and day out. We played so many close games," reliever Francisco Rodriguez said. "Now, we have to go harder."
With the victory that translated into the division title for the Brewers on Friday night, even the Florida Marlins’ manager was left enthralled with the outstanding performance that the Milwaukee Brewers put on display this season.
“When you look at our club, that’s what we lack right now,” McKeon said, referring to Braun and Prince Fielder.
As the Brewers had joined the National League in 1998, unable to win a title and seeing the Cardinals win all the titles, this moment is huge for the team.
More than 44,584 fans who watched the game between the Cubs and the Cardinals with awe were awaiting a result that could favour the Brewers, as it eventually did. There are a lot of celebrations that the team will have in the days to come.
The Brewers have had an amazing season so far. The fact that they were able to win the division title speaks volumes. The team has fought hard throughout their games and has taken on some of the best teams in the League. Milwaukee has come together as a
team and they are playing good aggressive baseball.
It will be interesting to see how well they fair in the play-offs as all of the teams raise their performances. If the Brewers continue to play the way they have been, they have a very good chance of pulling some surprises during the play-offs.
