Celebrations continue as Red Bull reaches its hometown in Austria
The jubilations and celebrations of winning continue as the Red Bull Racing reaches their Austrian base in Salzburg. The team bagged the constructors’ Championship of 2010 Formula One season on 7th of November while last week they grabbed the
drivers’ title as well.
The four happy men including the new world champion Sebastian Vettel, his teammate and six-time race winner Mark Webber, the team boss Christian Horner and the chief technical officer for Red Bull Racing Adrian Newey, all entered the team’s hometown today.
The group was welcomed in a very traditional way by playing Austrian band along with a standing ovation.
The youngest world champion of the Formula One’s history talked to the local press of the country saying, “The past couple of months have been a unique experience for me and I have experienced great moments, which I will never forget, but there were also some
difficult situations. I am very proud of what we have achieved - it’s a great moment for me and the whole team.”
Vettel was still holding the trophy firmly in his hands, raising it high for the g*y countrymen, who cherished the first two championships of the team. It is the sixth year of Bull in the sport and having bagged both the championships is a very big moment
not only for the team crew but also for all the proud people of the country.
The new world champion told the press earlier today that he is now looking forward for some time to relax as the past few months have been very tiring for him physically, mentally and psychologically. Moreover, he was quick to add that he has only little
time at disposal and soon he needs to get back to work to begin the preparations for next season. Vettel vowed to come back next year with a stronger team, faster car and better form, although all these three factors have been great this season too.
“I am very happy with this team - we’re like a big family, everyone has fun and is dedicated to what they are doing; only when it’s like this is it possible to achieve at such a high level. Without the support I received from the Red Bull Junior Programme,
I would not be sitting here today as a world champion,” the 23-year-old driver said.
Moreover, the youngest team principal on the grid, Horner, only 37 years old, believes that this is a very big achievement for the team, which not long ago known as ‘group of party men’, referring them as a team who was far from serious.
However, the achiever was now proud to exclaim that the team had a brilliant season and he is looking forward for many similar ones in the years to come.
