Celebrations of the Assumption of Mary, August 15th, in Spain.?

Hi everyone,

Im travelling to spain in august. Im wondering what services will be open or closed on the 15th of august, during the celebration of the Assumption of Mary. Will it be a holiday with everything closed or some stores/restaurants will be open ?

Many places are closed during August anyway, local feria's take place during this time & the country goes on 'holiday', it gets a bit too hot do do anything really!

It depends where you're going in Spain. If you go to tourist resorts I'm sure everything will be open, but in small cities in the inland, it may be difficult to find open shops or restaurants.
