Celebrities? Why are we so obbesessed with them?

Seriously why are we? They are just people just like us? It just doesnt make any sense why we care so much about them when they are just people, their not any better than us regular people in anyway. I am one of these obsessed people but im trying not to be. WHY ARE WE SO IN LOVE WITH THESE "FAMOUS" PEOPLE??????????

Because of their music and their talents...otherwise they wouldnt be famous at all....i love everybody

Because some peoples' lives are relatively boring and by obsessing about celebrities, they can find escape from their own lives and find a measure of excitement through that celebrity

They sing well, or they act well, or do somethng well. yes, they're like normal people. but they try to do something hard, and when they do it, walla, they're famous. if you don't think they do what they do well, you don't have to hate them. You just don't have to pay attention.

Because celebrities represent something that we wish we all were. Acceptance is the number one thing evey person longs for, and who is more accepted than someone like Brad Pitt? Every single person sees a celebrities life subconsciously what they deserve to be living, and are obsessed with their lifestyle, in return. Also the reason that we like to bring them down is that we are all jealous and people want to see them fall. In reality, almost every person who hates lindsay lohan or paris hilton, would rather be them then themselves. (I hope I didn't offend anyone by the way, that's just how I see it)
