Celebrities and charity?

okay. not all celebrities are bad when it comes to this.. but WHY do they gather money for their charities when they can easily donate that money on their own? most celebrities have 20 million dollars in their pockets, so why not easily give 1 million dollars out of your own money? it offends me when i see that happen. yeah its good they have other people giving into the cause, but C'MON now. dont be so stingy as to not donate a million of your own cash. you're not even gonna be needing it anyway. its like someone having 100 dollar bills and giving away 1 dollar from it, even less in most cases with celebrities. god knows they get paid millions for contributing nothing to society.

Many celebrities do donate their own money. Oprah for example has regularly donated millions every year to charities. So has Angelina Jolie, Perhaps you should do a little research on the subject before you throw stones.

Those celebrities that donate their time and gather contributions for charity ARE the ones that donate their own money. Those that don't are selfish and sheltered and have no clue as to what is going on beyond their own backyard, (Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, Brittney Spears, just to name a few), Those that contribute the least? Sports players.
