Celestial Dawn keen to seal second straight success at Hamilton
Those, who watched the John Weymes trained bay filly, Celestial Dawn, winning convincingly at Hamilton last week, have no doubt about the young sprinter’s another victory in the Neilsland And Earnock Handicap that is also going to be held at the same venue
on Thursday, August 30. The class 6 contest over 6 furlongs and 5 yards is offering a heavy course to the line-up of 11 contestants.
Celestial Dawn is keen to register second straight success at Hamilton along with bagging the cash prize worth £2,045.
The fantastic filly has been enjoying great momentum since the dawn of the calendar year. In the month of April only, she gained three consecutive thirds.
After finishing as the runner-up in Breakaway Handicap on June 9, she elegantly claimed the title of the Pearce Brothers Handicap that took place at Bath on June 16. Winning without the favourite tag was indeed a great achievement.
During the same month, the maverick filly registered one more third. Then there were witnessed three pathetic performances.
On August 24, the daughter of Echo Of Light out of Celestial Welcome excellently clinched top spot in the Variety Club Handicap, held at Hamilton. But unlike today, that was the soft ground. However, it does not matter a lot for the enthusiastic filly who
is awash with confidence and winning impetus at the moment.
It is expected that Celestial Dawn will win the race emphatically provided she quells Oakbrook early. The Ann Duffield trained bay gelding is also a strong candidate on the race card.
The veteran horse broke his maiden with the title of the Tyregiant.com Handicap (Div II) that went down at Catterick on July 25, 2012. He moved on to finish 3rd in the Pin Point Recruitment Handicap at the same venue.
The fervent horse stood second in his last start named as Carling Chrome Handicap (Div I), held at Newcastle. Unlike Celestial Dawn, he has not experienced Hamilton so far. Thus, it is going to be quite a new experience for him.
Thus, these two might runners will fight close but success is bound to befall on Celestial Dawn. Good luck to the both.
