Cell Phone Help Please???

I am a first time cell phone buyer and I need some help figuring this out. I have to pay for my own phone and bill so it can't be too expensive. I would use it for mostly texting. I want to use Verizon Wireless. I found what I think is a pretty good deal. You get a free Chocolate with a 2-yr activation but it is only while supplies last. I also found a plan that I think would be good for me, it is a messaging only plan that costs $34.99 per month. PLEASE HELP ME so confused!! http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/store/controller#

Sounds like your texting plan would cost almost as much as a phone plan I would ask if you could convert it from an only texting plan to a text and voice plan because you do not know what you will want later on.  With Verizon the voice plan is 39.99 and if all of your friends are verizon then you could get a $10 texting 500 and unl mobile to mobile with verizon texts.

Remember you have to do what is right for you.
