Cell Phone Question?

I`m new with cell phones (just got my sister and I each a blackberry pearl) and was wondering about ringtones. I know when you choose one on my phone, that`s the ringtone that will ring on my sisters phone to alert her it`s me, right? Well, the ringtone she picked on her phone to alert me is sorta...embarressing...and of course it has to always go off during my classes so all the ppl can stare at me. Is there any way that on MY phone, i can pick out a ringtone from MY collection that will ring whenever she tries to call instead of the one she picked out?

I worked for T-mobile I know plenty ont he subject, ish I still got my BlackBerry curve.

On your OWN phone, you can pick whatever RING TONE you want!

There is a website, TuneUsIn.Com

It has free ringtone downloads for your blackberry.

However, if you have a memory card, any song that store on there as MP3, you can use as a ring tone.

I don't recommend saving full songs on the phone's memory as it will eat up the memory quick, and you will start noticing that your text messages delete randomly for no reason, SO GET A MEMORY CARD, as you also will need one for this reason, I recommend minimum of 1GB.

Ok, now once you transferred music/or download it.

Simply go to her name in you address book, select it, push the menu button, then click on edit.

Once you are able to edit her details, push the menu button on your BB again, and select ADD CUSTOM RING TONE.

Now select the folder you have the ringtone in, and select the ringtone you want for her. Then make you you click menu and select save.

Now also make sure that whatever SOUND PROFILE, your phone is on, ALLOWS you to accept custom ring tones.

IF YOU HAVE MYFAVES, then what you have to do, is select her myfave Icon, and edit it, then in the editing portion select ring tone, and select the one you want, DONT FORGET TO SAVE.

I really have no idea how she picked a ringtone for herself on your phone, without actually going into your phone.

Yes. I'm actually not even aware of how she can pick from her phone what will ring on yours?? But from your phone: go into your ringtones and choose whatever you want it to ring when she calls, then choose "set as", "contact ID", and choose her name from your contacts. Done. Now whenever she calls that's what will ring.

Oh and you can always just set it to vibrate when you're in class or somewhere you worry about people hearing it :)
