  1. thats really strange because my school has those too around the football field!! but i get 3 or 4 bars in class.  i really dont know what they are for though.

  2. Yeah. Its possible

  3. Ive seen cell phone jammers before they arent as big as a pole though, i keep contemplating buying one to take it with me on the road to keep ppl from talking while their driving -_-

  4. uummm IDK.......i guess!

  5. No its actually illegal. I remember some where close by a school tried to do the exact same thing, but what they did was they put it right the front and back doors of the schools. So Zero bars in the school. Of course so the student couldn't text, but parent found out and got very upset, and went down to the school board. Parent didn't like in case of emergecy that  there child would not be able to call them. The principle had to take all of them down, and i believe he purchased most of it with his own money.

Edited : THE RISKS AND LEGALITY OF JAMMING

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) in the United States has outlawed the sale and use of jammers because they can in theory interfere with emergency communications between police and rescue personnel, aid in criminal activity as well as disrupt medical equipment like pacemakers.

Even though jammers are illegal, it will be pretty difficult for the FCC to catch you. Triangulating the exact position of someone with a jammer will require some fancy hi-tech tracking gear and several personnel.

However if you do get busted using a cell phone jammer, be prepared for a possible $11,000 fine. Remember, jammers are mainly intended for military or government use.
