Cell phone voicemail question...PLEASE HELP!!!!! (10 POINTS!!)?

I have verizon, my question is:for my thing when ppl call and i dont answer, my little message thing eg. hi its matt, im not here, leave a message that thing, well after your message for verizon this automatic voice thing comes on it goes "please leave a message after the tone, to leave a call back number press 5 blahhhhh blahhhh blahhhhh"well how do i make it so they just hear my message instead of the dumb "record ur message blahhhhhhhh blahhhhh"

You're just like me, I had the exact same problem. I couldn't figure it out but then I listened to all the options in my voice maill and found a solution. There is usually "to listen to your messages, press 1 to edit your greeting press 2" or something like that. Go through and listen to all the selections for types of greetings. There is #1 "You have reached, 440-487-4598, please leave a message after the tone", #2 "You have reached 'Matt ******', please leave a message after the tone" (that's the one where you only say your name) and the third option, "Hey this is matt, I'm not here right now, if you leave a name and number I'll get back to you" BEEP. you have to listen to all the options, Oh and by the way..not my real number, you won't believe how many guys try to call me using that number haha. there's nothing to do about it. from what i know, everyone has it. it's annoying and no one does it but what ev. sorry about your bad news.
