Cell phones at AIT? ?

My boyfriend is currently at Fort Knox for basic training, in a few weeks he will be going AIT at Fort Lee, he has heard that he will be able to use his cell phone after the first 2 weeks or so. I was just wondering if anyone knew if this was true. Also where can I find a list of what all he needs to take with him to AIT? thanks

He will get the list from his school command prior to arriving if there is anything out of the ordinary that he will need.

(AIT) Cell phones are allowed at a certain point after school hours but he will be told all that when he gets there.

Cell phones are not allowed during basic. Just clarifying.

2 or 3 weeks is probably about right. He won't be allowed to have the phone on him during class though and it may even be  just allowed on the weekends. Every place does it differently. For 88M we weren't allowed to have them until the last week- which was week 6. However I believe the pay phones were available every day.
