I'm 12 (turning 13 in a few months) and desperate for a cellphone! EVERYONE in my school has one! And my mom agrees to get me a cellphone but my dad says no and said "Why do you need a cellphone? When your old enough I'll give you the one your aunt has" and the one my aunt has is a really old brand! My dad is a pennypincher that's why. And im not going to talk a lot and get a towering phone bill! How should I convince him to get me a phone thats modern? (atleast one with a camera) I Also I take the bus alone from school. I wouldn't want to upset my father too! he gets upset easily. Help Me!

  1. The only reason you have given for your desperate need of a cell phone is because all your friends at school have one. That's not a desperate need. A cell phone is not a necessity of life, it is a luxury. If he were to give you your aunt's cell phone, then you should be thankful and not complain about how old it is.

There are more important things to life than doing something just because all your other friends are doing it.

If you really want one that bad, then ask for work from your parents, save up your allowance, and buy it yourself.
