Cellphones in a movie theater.?

How do you feel about cellphone use during a movie?

Ok. I believe this.

Yes- By all means keep your cellphone on (vibrate) for emergency purposes...and check it outside of the room.

Ive had so many problems with people not only texting in the theater, but actually answering the phone. I didn't pay $7.23 to listen about your dinner plans. Also, 17-Magazine is also a supporter of using the phone during a movie. It states "send him a flirty text during the movie such as (you're hogging the arm rest)" Its just really rude and inconsiderate when somebody is trying to watch a movie and your talking to somebody.

Usually I lean forward and tell them to take it outside.

Like I really care if your best-friend got new highlights.

  1.   We are TRYING to get everyone to stop talking on cell phones and even though that has gone down some... the new big thing is TEXTING...  There is that 'silence your cell phone' advertisement on the screen before the movie, but I am told they are making a new one that includes texting so hopeful the disrespectful teenagers get it to there head and STOP it.

  2. LOL,too funny,I totally agree with you.Even if they are texting now although it may be quieter than talking, the screens are so bright you could land small aircraft with those.Ridiculous! Kiddies call your buddies before the movie,Or don't watch the movie.

  3. It is rude! There are adverts before the movie that say 'please turn off your cellphone' but theres always that one person who doesn't listen to it. I think texting could be ok because its not loud but when you talk on the phone and have a conversation its rude. When I went to the opening of Dark Knight there were people who kept going to the emergency exits and standing there with the door open to talk on the phone it was realy distracting

  4. This is true!  You should lay the law in the movie theater or tell the manager or something because that has got to stop.

  5. OMGOSH I KNOW.

this didnt happen to me in a movie theater but a theater theater.

i had a box seat to see this christmas play and me and my friend at the beging before the play started we counted all the phones we could see.

and then during the movie like no one turned them off.  it was sooo annoying.

  6. Agreed! It is so annoying and disrespectful!! I hate hearing people talk during the movie, period!
