  1. The main reason Celtic got in is to try and make the sport bigger in different countries, I'm a Salford fan and I and when Celtic came up I though we where going to miss out to Widnes because they had quite a good bid.

  2. Rugby League in Wales..jeeesus what next a Tory run National Assembly?

  3. 13 of their Squad are Welsh, only 10 are Aussies (2 English, 1 French)

They had the best business plan and the best vision for growing the game - that's what got them in.

  4. It seems like Superleague bosses had already made their minds up about Celic getting a spot with the expansion plans they have. The Millennium Magic weekend showed they were promoting the game there and therefore thinking of a having club in that area.

It was also obvious that a side from Manchester would be in. To have the biggest city in the north of England without a club would be a massive waste of potential support.

I am not saying that I disagree with the choices but it does make you wonder why they went through the whole tender process. I would imagine that Widnes etc have spent a fair bit on their bids and if it was already a done deal then what was the point except to give their decision some sort of justification
