Celtic down Rangers to move to the quarterfinals of the Scottish Cup
Celtic beat Rangers 1-0 in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup replay at Celtic Park, on Wednesday evening. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-Wilson-c24152 scored the only goal of the game. The replay was scheduled as a result of both teams drawing the first leg 2-2 at Ibrox, last month.

The second half started in an electric fashion, as the hosts took the lead immediately after the resumption.  Wilson met Izaguuire’s cross to the back post, Steven Papac cleared his shot off the line but Wilson thumped in a volley on second attempt to put
the hosts’ front 1-0.

Rangers looked to pull one goal back but the hosts outnumbered them in the midfield. The visitors could not hold the possession for longer periods.

Celtic will play the quarter final against Inverness CT on the 13th of March.
