Celtic’s manager Neil Lennon praised by the first team coach Alan Thompson - SPL News
Celtic’s first team coach, Alan Thompson, has hailed the Bhoys' manager, Neil Lennon who has stayed calm and collective despite of the death threats. Thompson was talking in wake of a parcel bomb threat received by the team’s manager during the mid-week.
This was the second instance when Lennon has received the same sort of a threat in less than a month’s time.
This is Lennon’s first season as a Celtic manager and he has done a great job in reference to Celtic’s current position in the League. The mnager seemed a bit disturbed by all the threats, as it would have been the case with every other individual, but he
confirmed that he won’t be going anywhere and all his focus will remain upon helping the Bhoys claiming the title.
Thompson added, "I think a lot of people would struggle to cope the way he has, so it's testament to him as a man. He's fantastic on a day-to-day basis, the same as he was as a player. He's no different considering everything that's been thrown at him. He's
got good people round him, both at work and at home. He's got a strong family so as long as everyone keeps doing what they're doing he'll continue to manage.”
Thompson also talked about Celtic’s current season and was delighted to see his team performing when it mattered the most. He also hoped that the Hoops would finish the season with both hands on the trophy.
Thompson concluded by saying, "When you're at a club this size it's not going to be plain sailing. It certainly hasn't been the case this season. There's been ups and downs but hopefully, come the end, it will be worth it."
The 39-year-old Lennon joined the Scottish outfit in 2010 and is on the verge of finishing his first season as manager on a high. Celtic are currently second in the League table with 80 points and are just one point adrift of the leaders, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314.
Celtic will be up against Dundee United in their next game on Sunday, May 1 and a win there could add some extra spice in the League which is already heading towards an exciting finish.
