Cena vs Batista = OVERRATED Match?

Question

This may possibly be one of the biggest overrated matches in history (We know what was 1st... Goldberg vs Lesnar), but does anyone really think this match will steal the crown from Goldberg and Lesnar to become the BIGGEST OVERRATED MATCH IN HISTORY?

I think it will... none the less.. it will be boring as h**l!

WQ- This years SummerSlam will be one of the worst or best.

On card it's S****y as h**l and shaping up to be one of the WORST (IMO)

never judge a book by its cover especially when wwe is in it this might be a great match.

yeah,that will be the second overrated match too,but it will be nice to see because both of them are my faves.

This has been going on for 15 minutes.

Oh! Cena blocks it!...and returns it slowly.

I guess it's not going to be the MOST overrated but be quite close to the top. Two of my least favourite superstars. I keep and wondering why Vince signed these two.

WQ: The only good match I can see is hopefully Edge vs Taker in h**l in a Cell, and maybe Hardy vs MVP, otherwise it looks bland.

I wouldn't call it THE most overrated match ever, but it's certainly up there with the best of the worst. Goldberg vs Lensar has to be the most funniestly c**p overrated match ever. I mean, both guys were leaving after WM XX so no one really cared. And the fact that the crowd didnt care is the very reason I actually liked that match. They were booing and chantin BORING,BORING, which I thought was great. But the cherry on the cake was the Stunners. So I'm really hoping that there will be shades of WM and chants like:

(When Cena's doing you can't see me) "You Suck, You Suck"

(Batista's thumbs up thumbs down) "You Suck Too, You Suck Too".

It will ebd up being boring and having a real slow start, but since I think there's no chance in h**l of this match ending cleanly, I'm hoping (despite what's been heard) Randy comes out and RKO's everyones ***.

WQ: I'd count it as average I guess. The match that's really keeping SS alive is the HIAC, and if they don't go to the top of the cell and something crazy happens then I just don't know. Yet in a strange way I do kinda want to see Cena vs Batista. Jeff/MVP eehhh shopuld be good I guess but I do want to see the winner take all tag match.

Not overrated at all actually.  I like this rivalry very much, and thimk it will be built up more slowly and better than people think right now.  And certainly ot boring.

WQ-I like this card actually...only Khali can kill any of this for me, but the rest?  It's good by me.  I'll be watching.

I gotta disagree with you on the most overrated match of all time, that honor goes to Hogan vs Ultimate Warrior II, which was beyond horrific. As for Cena vs Batista, we all know its going to be bad, but I don't think it will come close to topping Hogan Warrior II, we shall see.

WQ: Agreed, if the h**l in a Cell match and JBL vs CM Punk, or MVP vs Hardy don't surprise us with something unexpected, then yes this will be the worst Summerslam.

Yes it is and is the most disscussed match that its talked about on this forum rather then the Taker/Edge match which will steal the show, and I'm looking foward to it.

Yeah, IMO this is like Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior II all over again; two extremely overrated wrestlers, attempting to hold together one of the biggest over-hyped matches in recent history. And as you say, Goldberg vs. Lesnar was another one of these matches. I'm anticipating this to be the worst match at Summerslam to be honest. That and HHH vs. Khali of course. I honestly think the iconic Hogan vs. Warrior match will still be the champion overrated match, but I'm expecting this to come in at second.

MOST OVERRATED MATCHES IN HISTORY:

1) Hulk Hogan vs. Ultimate Warrior II

2) John Cena vs. Batista

3) Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar

WQ: I'm expecting it to be one of the worst. There aren't really any other matches making me think otherwise. I'm quite excited for the intergender winner-takes-all IC/Womens title match, because I really don't know which way it's gonna go. Undertaker vs. Edge will be pretty good, but since it's obvious Taker's gonna win, a little of the fun is taken out of it. Cena vs. Batista, Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry and Great Khali vs. HHH will be the 3 worst no doubt. If this PPV is a failure, it will be because of those 3. The mid-carder matches are really what's gonna save Summerslam.
