I just got a call and I'm in charge of centerpieces/ lunch favors for a lunch. There will be both men and women attending. There are 34 guests and they want the centerpieces to be used as favors as well. Killing to birds with one stone. But I can't come up with a thing!!! Help. They cant be two big since they are on the table and I'm also on a budget :/

  1. I would also suggest a potted plant as the centerpieces since they will be given away. you can pick up small mums right now at any grocery store for around $3-$4 each. or a regular green plant would be nice also for both men and women.

  2. Go to a dollar store .... Clear glass vases filled with colored glass stones or seashells, with a candle in the center.....Or, you can find cute flowerpots there and put a fresh pot of herbs or flowers (from the nursery) in them  ....  2 matching cute wine or margarita glasses, and fill with jelly bellies

  3. Floral arrangements, little crafts, candles,.......do a search engine online with the kind of party you are having.  Try to develop a theme.

  4. How about a Beta fish in a small bowl ,you can add colored glass marbles.Or sand in a gold fish bowl with  candle stuck down into it...The guys that win can give it to their wives or G/F

  5. Picture frames are good for both men and women.  Small ones can be pretty inexpensive.  You can slip a piece of paper in them that gives the date of the celebration.  This can be put around a single pillar candle, vase or potted plant.

  6. Candy! everyone loves candy. You could make them into like a flower arrangement. Have a big bowl with lot's of retro sweets in. In the middle get a small oasis and stick lolly's in of all different shapes and sizes. You can then have candy necklaces and watches and red lace liquorice draped over the side of the bowl. YUMMY!

I hope this helps and you have a good party!

  7. Small glass vase that you can purchase from a craft store, add potpourri, or seashells, candles.

  8. Potted Plants are always nice center pieces and enjoyed by both men and women no matter who receives them as a favor.

Also Check into your local crafters as sometimes they can come up with some super ideas.  One year I made victorian snow people for center pieces.  Another year at halloween I did scarecrows shelf sitters.  Shelf sitters come in a variety of sizes and options

    Good Luck

  9. You have a few choses which suite both men and women today, candle holder that holds two or three candles in it, a box of tealight candles and candle holder, vase with a bunch of fresh flowers (not to big though), a pair of champange or wine glasses an a bottle to go with them (doesn't have to be expensive- can do for approx $10.00). A box of nice chocolates wrapped and a balloon tied on string/ribbon in the centre of the box.  A small artificial arrangement in natural colours. A small to medium basket with goodies inside such as tea/lollies/jam etc wrapped in celo paper.  A stationery holder with a few things inside eg pens/pencil/stapler remover/highlighter/paperclips etc wrapped in celo paper. A small platter/bowl with biscuits or small pieces of cake inside wrapped with celo paper.

You need the celo paper so people can see what is inside and also comes it more presentable with a bit of ribbon.

    Hope this helps!
