I need ideas for centerpieces for the 10 tables I will be having. I do not want balloons. There is no theme. I will be hiring a catering company to BBQ onsite, DJ, Bartender and a Belly dancer.

Thank You

  1. Something fitting to your Husband is ideal.

I've done this for a client:

For a golfer: 8x8 Square flat plate with a slight lip

Cut the grass sod to fit inside the lip of the plate

add a small flag with husband's name; initial; b-day or whatever

Add golf tee and golf ball.

    Done

  2. Get tall glass jars, put sand in the bottom, and stick candles in each one, or maybe shells or marbles.  You can get all the stuff at any craft shop for cheap.  The lit candles will be pretty through the glass, and your guests will be able to see each other.

  3. What is he into?

If he's into different things, have each table represent his different interests.

Like if he's a DIY guy, at one table, have one of those canvas round caddies and go to the dollar store and get cheapie tools and fill it with them and you can put some flowers in there too if you want.

If he likes a certain beer, take the glass beer bottles and put flowers in them and make the the centerpieces, or get glass beer mugs and and put some yellow carnations in the bottom like it's the beer and white ones on the top like it's the foam of the beer and have straws coming out of them, but make sure to do it in beer mugs, you can get them in the dollar stores and carnations you can get at grocery stores.

If he's into sports, cut a basketball, soccerball, etc, in half and get some florist foam, wet it and put flowers it in, if he's into different sports put a different ball at each table.

If he's into fishing, you can get little fishbowls and have one little goldfish fishing around in it, or a tall clear vase with fish in it.  Or you can put a tackle box on one table with all the bait, hooks, and things for a centerpiece on one table.

If he's into NASCAR, put the car of his favorite driver at the tables and find a way to decorate around it.

You can do each table differently for a unique and different feel and tell people they're seated at the football table or the beer table, or do it all with the same theme if you know there's something he'll really like and it will make it easier for you.  I'm sure whatever you do, he'll love!
