Centipedes in my basement?

I have found centipedes randomly in my basement. i thought they wouldn't go near my frogs but i have found dead ones by their terrarium what should i do and why are they coming in?

If you put baking soda (the stuff you use to "freshen up" your fridge) in small dishes around your basement that should help control them. Centipedes like dampness, Baking soda "soaks" it up.

I live in the basement of a house and when I first moved in it was really bad they were everywhere. My Nana told me about the baking soda trick. Hopefully it works.
