Central Air Conditioning: high pitch noise (seems related to outside winds)?

We bought a condo last year. The central AC unit is 2-3 years old. When the AC is on and a wind kicks up outside, there is a high pitched noise for about 10-20 seconds, then it slowly fades. It only happens every now and then, but it's very noticeable throughout the unit. Any tips? Plus, any tips on finding an honest AC company? Thanks! Lex

HVAC Tech.: Check with the BBB To find out if a company resolves its' complaints, if they do chances are they are honest (most are!!!!). As for the wind caused whine, The heater vent may be the cause of that. wait for a windy day then call a tech. to check it for you. Good Luck!
