Central Districts’ bowling attack did not allow the Auckland Aces to settle down at the crease during their ongoing Plunket Shield match at the Nelson Park in Napier, and after being bowled for 210 in their first innings, the Aces (following on) were reduced
to 210 for 7 during their second innings, by the end of play on day 3, November 6.

The two batsmen set up a 48-run partnership for the 7th wicket, but Munro was soon dislodged by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/CS-Martin-c1295 (0), and the Aces were restricted,
all out, to 210 within 68 overs.
Following on, Auckland stepped up to bat for a second time, but Nethula (13-3-36-3) and Mathieson (13-0-61-2) did not let them rest. Top-order batsmen Vincent (8) and Young (8) were both unremarkable, but McIntosh contributed 35, in addition to teaming up
with top-scorer Kitchen (60) for a 59-run partnership for the third wicket.
de Grandhomme was unable to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adrian-Roger-Kirshaw-Pierson-c42135 it out at the crease this time around, and was dislodged by Mathieson for 6. were eventually dismissed by Nethula, who also went on to trap Bruce Martin (7) lbw.
By stumps on day 3, with Munro (34*) and Michael Bates (4*) at the crease, the Aces were at 210 for 7. Currently at a position from which they will need to improve drastically if they are to have a hope of gaining an upper-hand over the Stags, the Aces will
be looking to both batsmen for a solid partnership on the fourth and final day of play.
