  1. I have this problem, I only noticed the other week when the weather was hot....I called the engineer out and he replaced a value below the hot water tank which he said was not working......but I noticed this morning  that still the two bathroom rads get hot when the water is on.....:-(

  2. They will get warm when your water comes on. if you don't want them to turn the valve off at the bottom.........

  3. dont ask us call emergency for council tell them ur problem they will come 2 ur house and fix it.

when i have problem with heating im also doing same

  4. Not unusual for the radiator to get warm, shouldn't get hot though. Can always be turned off at the valve on the radiator

  5. You`ve probably got a Y plan system that`s not piped correctly. No problem,  either make use of it to dry towels etc or, as previous replies, turn the valve off on the radiators concerned.   Dont worry its not dangerous.

  6. It may need bleeding! This is easily done, any good diy place will tell you what to do and you don't need to spend more than £10.

  7. Ignore everyone else! Especially the 38yrs experienced guy!!

    Facts -

1 - If the rads are hot at the top they dont need bleeding do they!!

2 - If it has never happened before the system isnt piped up wrong is it!! Pipes dont move & repipe themselves!

3 - If it always happens it could be the heating motorised valve letting by,(1 for hw,1 for rads), or the 3port valve that does both.

4 - Could be an anti gravity valve.(allows water to flow one way only),but this could be what the guy changed in your airing cupboard already.

5 - Some bathroom rads are plumbed in to act as a towel warmer so it may be normal.(if it has always done it).

6 - Hard to confirm exactly as dont know what boiler or system you have. The above is most common though, & yes you could turn the rads off .It is safe to do so,but if others get warm then you know there is a prob.
