Central Zone Badminton Championships-2012: P.Vinay Kumar Reddy easily tames Aditya Joshi
India’s P.Vinay Kumar Reddy, who represented Railways, proved his mettle on court and remained successful in beating Aditya Joshi of Air India in Men’s Singles contest at the Central Zone Badminton Championships-2012 in India, on Tuesday, September 4.
The in-form Kumar Reddy, who is one of the most promising shuttlers in India, showed an inspiring performance and remained successful in stamping his mark over Aditya in a dominating fashion.
The impressive Kumar Reddy played to his maximum potential on court as he did not spare any chance for his rival to dictate the pace of rallies and managed to end up the fight in straight sets with a dominating score on the board.
On the other hand, Aditya could not put up strong show in the opening set and lost it easily. He showed a few glimpses of his brilliance but it was not enough for him to escape defeat from the hands of his opponent.
The opening set was completely in favour of Kumar Reddy who showed a strong performance on court by playing dominating badminton and remained ahead on score board at the initial stage.
Aditya, in the meanwhile, could not stop the progress of his opponent and remained unable to cope up with the pace of rallies.
However, Kumar Reddy remained positive and composed on court and remained ahead on score board until the mid-game interval.
After the break, the in-form Kumar Reddy continued putting up staggering performance without showing mercy to his rival. He played attacking and positive game which helped him to end up the opening game with a spectacular 21-13 score on the board.
In the second set, Aditya also played positive badminton and remained close to his in-form rival until the end of opening half.
On the contrary, Kumar Reddy tried his best to take lead in first part of second set and could not set up a comfortable margin.
After the break, Kumar Reddy changed his tactics and played with precision by controlling the pace of rallies. He remained positive all the way to finish off the set with a convincing 21-16 score on the board.
The spirited Kumar Reddy won this Men’s Singles clash in straight sets with a fabulous margin of 21-13 and 21-16.
