Central a/c problem?

i have had my a/d looked at by the apartment manager 6 times now and he says its working fine but it isnt. it use to freeze us outta here. it doesnt any more. it blows cold air out but its not blowing hard enough or something. it has been on all day and its still 78 in here it should be down to 70 by now! for the last 4 days it will not cool the house it stays between 78-80. they changed the thermostat, cleaned the coils, put freeon in, and still nothing, use to before we had this problem when u cut the air off you could hear the water running through but now it isnt doint that. does anyone have any tips or kno what could be causing my air not too blow hard enough to cool my small apartment?

  1. Check air filter and caution with over charged freon


  2. its possible ypu mat have a leak just ask the apartment manager to come back out there and find out how many pounds of freon that is in your system

  3. to much freon can cause it to be warmer, could also be  the compressor bout to go out the indoor fan motor streagnth, circut board,try saying if you dont handle the problem soon i will hire a contractor and take it off the rent for inconvienence, read you lease to see if you can do that

  4. did they or you try changing the air filter in the furnace. They can get really dirty and can reduce air flow...also check all the vents and make sure they are opened all the way...also make sure furniture and or boxes /stuff is not blocking the air intake vents..if all this checks out then call them back and have them take another look.
